"Warrior of the Light" a Compilation of Paulo Coehlo (LLJL)

"Warrior of the Light"

by Linda Living Joy Lorenzo on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 1:48pm

A few years ago I picked up this wonderful book,
that was authored by someone who was rapidly becoming
one of the elite in my collection of specific writer's bodies of work...
The book is called "Warrior in the Light, A Manual"
(Short notes on accepting failure, embracing life and rising to your own destiny)
It was penned by Paulo Coelho.

Recently I was asked to recommend a book that could be
jointly read and shared as a point of enlightenment and
discussion with another...I immediately jumped to this
author for a reference point and found myself, pulling
this little book off the shelf, not only as a possiblilty,
but a reminder, that I too, needed to revisit the delights
that abounded between its covers...

I went through it in one sitting and came away, once again,
awakened, refreshed, revitalized and joyously inspired...
Once again ready to take up the Sword of Light...
And leap head on into the Abyss, Yet again...

It is a beautifully profound reminder not only of our Divinity,
but of the beauty of our Humaness and all its flaws and imperfections.
It speaks to us of our places of self imposed doubt, limitation and fear.
A place of acceptance...as a part of the journey
A place to be embraced... as a part of the process,
that will ulitimately lead us to our Greatest Self...to who are We Really Are...
To the awareness that we are not alone, and that we are indeed on the path,
No matter what the appearances...or how much we stumble and fall.

That the dream of illusions is almost over...
And we are indeed, on the verge of awakening
To our inherent Divinity...
To the part that we all must play...
In our Universal, Planetary and Individual Evolution...

And so, my Sisters and Brothers on this journey,
my excitement over this little gem has led me
to share some of its profound wisdom here in this
selected compilation...

With my most sincere wishes that it will delight and enhance
our collective experiences as we move forward together as,
"Warriors of the Light"

~ COMMITMENT TO THE JOURNEY ~

"A Warrior of the Light knows he has much to be grateful for.
Angels help him in his struggle: celestial forces place each thing in its place,
thus allowing him to give it his best."

"All the world's roads lead to the Heart of the Warrior:
He plunges unhesistatingly into the river of passions
always flowing through his life.
He embraces his passions and enjoys them intensely."

"The Warrior knows that he is free to choose his desires,
and he makes these decisions with courage, detachment and
-sometimes-with just a touch of madness."

"The Warrior of the Light, does not worry that, to others,
his behavior might seem quite mad.
He talks out loud to himself when he is alone.

Someone told him that this is the best way of communicating
with the angels, and so he takes a chance and tries to make contact.
At first he finds this very difficult. He thinks that he has nothing to say.

Even so, the Warrior persists.
He spends all day talking to his heart.
He says things with which he does not agree,
he talks utter nonsense.

One day, he notices a change in his voice.
He realizes that he is acting as a channel for some higher wisdom.
The Warrior may seem mad, but this is just a disguise."

~STUMBLING ALONG THE PATH~

"Warriors of the Light always have a certain gleam in their eyes.
They are of this world.
They are part of the lives of other people
and they set out on thier journey with no saddlebags and no sandals.
They are often cowardly.
They do not always make the right decisions.
They suffer over the most trivial things;
they have mean thoughts and
sometimes believe they are incapable of growing.
They frequently deem themselves unworthy of any blessing or miracle.
They are not always quite sure of what they are doing here.
They spend many sleepless nights, believing that thier lives have no meaning.

That is why they are Warriors of the Light.
Because they make mistakes, because they ask themselves questions,
because the are looking for a reason...they are sure to find it."

"A Warrior of the Light often loses heart.
He believes that nothing can stir in him the emotions he desires.
He is forced to spend many nights feeling that he is one of the vanquished,
and nothing seems to be able to restore his enthusiasm.
But he is stubborn and refuses to relinquish his aims.
Then, when he least expects it, a new door opens."

"The Warrior of the Light does not always have faith.
There are moments when he believes in absolutely nothing.
And he asks his heart. "Is all this effort really worth it"?
He looks for an example and remembers that Jesus went
through something similar in order to inhabit fully the human condition.
The Warrior of the Light continues despite his lack of faith.
He goes forward and, in the end, faith returns."

"Every Warrior of the Light has felt afraid of going into battle.
Every Warrior of the Light has at some time in the past,
lied or betrayed someone.
Every Warrior of the Light has trodden a path that was not his.
Every Warrior of the Light has suffered for the most trivial of reasons.
Every Warrior of the Light has, at least once,
believed that he was not a Warrior of the Light.
Every Warrior of the Light has failed in his spiritual duties.
Every Warrior of the Light has said "yes" when he wanted to say "no"
Every Warrior of the Light has hurt someone he loved.
That is why he is a Warrior of the Light, because he has been through
all this and yet has never lost hope of being better than he is."

~BELIEF AND TRUTH~

"The Warrior of the Light is a Believer.
Because he believes in miracles,
miracles begin to happen.
Because he is sure that his thoughts can change his life,
His life begins to change.
Because he is certain that he will find love,
Love appears.
Now and then he is disappointed.
Sometimes he gets hurt.
But the Warrior knows that it is worth it.
For every defeat, he has two victories in his favor.
All believers know this."

"A Warrior knows that the ends do not justify the means.
Because there are no ends, there are only means.
Life carries him from unknown to unknown.
Each moment is filled with this thrilling mystery:
the Warrior does not know where he came from nor where he is going.
But he is not here by chance.
And he is overjoyed by surprises
and excited by landscapes that he has never seen before.
He often feels afraid, but that is normal in a Warrior.
If he thinks only of the goal,
he will not be able to pay attention to the signs along the way.
If he concentrates only on one question,
he wll miss the answers that are there beside him.
That is why the Warrior submits.

~DIVINE GUIDANCE, UNIVERSAL AID~

"From now on-and for the next few hundred years-
the Universe is going to help Warriors of the Light,
and hinder the predjudiced.

The Earth's energy needs to be renewed.
New ideas need space.
Body and soul need new challenges.

The future has become the present, and every dream
- except those dreams that involve preconceived ideas-
will have a chance to be heard.

Anything of importance will remain.
Anything useless will disappear."
